I teach knitting classes!

You know that feeling of wondering what little tip you might be missing that could make your knitting easier or nicer? Maybe your edges are uneven, or your sewing up could look better. Have you ever suffered from a too-tight cast on or bind off? Or maybe you just can’t seem to make things fit the way you want them to.

You wish you could knit anything you see, but you’re not sure if those cables or that Fair Isle is too difficult for you.

Well, I’m here to tell you that you can knit anything!

Sometimes, all it takes is a little encouragement and some tips given at just the right time. Let me take you and your knitting to the next level. You can gain the skills and confidence you need to knit anything.

When you sign up for one of my classes or book me as a teacher for your group or guild, you won’t just be learning about mittens or socks. You’ll be learning all the little details that make your mittens and socks — or brioche, lace, cables, double knitting, hats, sweaters — beautiful. You’ll leave the class knowing that a whole new world of knitting has opened up to you.

My students and I have a ton of fun together. The class atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. We are knitting, after all.

In each class, we always talk about fixing our mistakes and learning to read the knitting. I am the master of dropping stitches and reconstructing knitting messes. Just ask my students. 😉

We also talk about project-specific cast-on and bind-off techniques, and anything else that will set you up for success in that topic.

I teach 5 to 7 weekly classes in the Ottawa area at various locations, and I have limited availability to add workshops. I’d be happy to talk about what’s possible.
