Description
Join me for a real, live, in-person knitting class in Ottawa!
Get help with any and all knitting-related questions. I can help you fix any mistake, customize a pattern, tweak or upgrade your knitting skills, understand your pattern — you name it. Many students use these classes as a combination knitting club and class, with me as your personal knitting coach.
Sign up for the whole month, or just drop in every now and then when you run into trouble. Either way, I can’t wait to see you!
If you can’t sign up in advance for some reason, I can accept payment via credit card or cash at the start of each class.
What to Bring
This particular class doesn’t take place at a yarn shop, so you’ll need to bring everything with you: yarn, pattern, needles, and whatever other knitting notions and extra needles you may need. Feel free to bring a snack and drink as well, if you like.
Where
At Rideau Park United Church, 2203 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa.
Parking is available both beside and behind the church, on Cunningham Avenue. There is a bus stop nearby.
Let’s Talk About COVID
Things are weird right now. We’re all reemerging from various levels of isolation and distancing, and it’s both exciting and stressful.
Do what makes you feel comfortable. Everyone is welcome to wear a mask if they prefer, but they are not required. If you’re unable to wear a mask, you don’t have to explain yourself. I’ll have a mask with me that I’m happy to wear, especially since teaching can be a hands-on, close-up thing. I’ll bring my hand sanitizer, too, to use between projects.
If you’re feeling sick, please stay home, and you can switch your missed class time to a date in the future.
What About the Zoom Lessons?
We might resume video classes in the future (especially once winter and its snow storms return), but starting April 24th, classes will be in-person only.
