Join me for a real, live, in-person knitting class in Ottawa!
Get help with any and all knitting-related questions. I can help you fix any mistake, customize a pattern, tweak or upgrade your knitting skills, understand your pattern — you name it. Many students use these classes as a combination knitting club and class, with me as your personal knitting coach.
You bring whatever knitting you’re working on, and we start the class by settling in and having a little show & tell time of what we’re knitting (or have recently finished). (This gives me an idea of what I’ll be teaching that day, too, and how to prioritize.) Then I go around the table and help each person one-on-one. I usually make a few circles around the room throughout the two hours, depending on how much help everyone needs. Everyone gets a chance to get all the help they need, but it’s also a good idea to bring a second, easy project to work on if you have to wait a bit.
You can sign up for the whole month, or just drop in every now and then when you run into trouble. Either way, I can’t wait to see you!
If you can’t sign up in advance for some reason, I can accept payment via credit card or cash at the start of each class.
What to Bring
This particular class doesn’t take place at a yarn shop, so you’ll need to bring everything with you: yarn, pattern, needles, and whatever other knitting notions and extra needles you may need. Feel free to bring a snack and drink as well, if you like.
At Rideau Park United Church, 2203 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa.
Parking is available both beside and behind the church, on Cunningham Avenue.
Refund / Exchange Policy
Classes are non-refundable. There is a minimum of 4 students required for each class to run. (Exception: If I have to cancel a class because I’m sick or there’s a family emergency, etc, you’ll have the option to either receive a refund or exchange it for a later date.)
